30 weeks 2 days

30 weeks 2 days

So we got the final yes on our apartment...so excited...we officially have a safe place for Lizzy to come home to!!!

I definitely am feeling pregnant now...Lizzy has certain times that she is active and boy does she know how to move...She particularly likes moving in the early morning and in the evening...during the day she moves around a little and has the hiccups several times a day!!!

She is around 15 inches long and about 3 pounds...the charts say she should gain about a pound in the next 2 weeks alone!!!!!....while I can't believe there is room in there for her to grow...i am assured that I will just continue to stretch!!

So I can't believe I am going to be able to finally complete Lizzy's bedroom...can't wait to post pics with my other prego buddies!!!

Still having problems with my hands and carpal tunnel...very sore and sometimes excruciating pain ... my feet sometimes swell but not to bad...i do stretches and that seems to ward off most aches and pains. Only one stretch mark so far...very exciting...figured i would have many by now..

Have a midwife appt. next week and then after that will see her every other week...hoping for clearance for the crop on the cape...really don't want to miss it because of early labor!

29 weeks

Well not much different from last week...I am starting to feel the effects of hauling around a baby though. My back aches a little but I stretch a lot and that seems to help...the only thing that is a constant problem is the carpel tunnel...with the normal swelling of pregnancy, it makes carpel tunnel excruciating especially at night.

The crib has been ordered and we have purchased a few things for the nursery!!

We are planning on moving at the end of the month, so it will be nice to have everything set up for the baby!!!

Lizzy is head down now...no telling if she will stay that way but shes down there...she hiccups all the time now...which i guess is a good thing...means she is practicing how to breath...only 11 weeks to go!!

I suppose that's it for now....

nursery....

An Amazing photo taken by my mother...Bonnie

So the nursery is all planned out...just need to move so we can finally put it into motion...

We will be doing pooh bear with flowers and butterfly's...with pics of the ocean as well...it will be a crazy combination of themes...

We are thinking of using some photos that my talented family took and framing them for a cheap way to color the room...they have amazing pics of butterfly's and flowers...also some breathtaking ones of the water...We will also take our favorite books and pick favorite pages and frame them for a unique idea...

I also am looking for several old old toys that I will be putting on shelves...she can't play with them...but thought they would make cool decorations!!

It will be a weird nursery but combining jimmy's and Mine decorating sense with the basic things we need for her has turned out to be completely wacko!!!

The crib is being ordered soon and we have the changing table...

I already have some amazing old pictures of a boy and a girl to hang in her room...

I can't wait to see everything come together and see her room..while a bit unorthodox...her room will be fantastic!!!

28 week development

By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

28 weeks

So I am officially in my 3rd Trimester today....only 12 or so weeks to go!!!

In this 12 week period we will be moving, having a baby shower at some point, decorating the nursery, taking 5 classes that are suppose to help us understand birth and baby, and finishing up getting things for the baby!!
Sound crazy...cause it is...we are crazy people who thought they knew what they were getting into and found themselves completely caught unaware.

I had a startling realization this morning as i was talking to my mother about breast feeding and sleeping habits, that while i have educated myself for the pregnancy and the birth and have everything planned out, I have everything ready for her....I never really thought about bringing her home!!! I realize that I would have to bring her home, but never really thought about what that would be like. Gave myself a little shock to think about it this morning!!!

Its completely scary to think in 12 short weeks We will be bringing home out little Lizzy and she has to stay with us....we have to take care of her...we have to keep her safe and healthy for the rest of her life...

While some people would say..well of course You need to do these things...unless you have done it...you can't possibly understand the panic that went through me while I thought about it!!!

So while I am so very excited still...and I can't wait to meet her...I do think it's going to take a bit to settle my nerves...maybe they will calm down after she is born and we are safely home!!!
