16 weeks old

So Elizabeth is 16 weeks old today and weighs in at 14 pounds and 23 1/2 inches....such a big girl!!!
She has mastered rolling all over the place and picking up objects to place in her mouth!!!
Elizabeth went to her first car show this past weekend and loved every minute...I tried to give her a bottle and she refused to take it because she was too busy looking around!! She even got to sit in the P31 racecar!!!

15 weeks

Well Elizabeth is now over 15 weeks

We enjoy watching our little girl grow grow and grow some more...

We have left her for The first few times with relatives...
First for my birthday with my mom and the past couple of fridays for carwars with Jimmys mom....

We are still using cloth diapers part time (till we can buy some more) and love it (Even jimmy!!!)...

I am still nursing as much as I can..but she needs so much now to support her rapidly growing body that I can only nurse her for comfort not nurishment!!!

Elizabeth has learned how to roll over from her back to her belly but gets mad and won't roll back over!! She smiles and laughs all the time!

I can't even describe how much we love Elizabeth..she makes our lives so much more wonderful!!!

3 months

On Thursday my daughter will be 3 months old!!!!I can't believe it!

So for a quick update...she weighted in at 12 pounds 24 inches long today...she can laugh, giggle, roll from her back to her front, smiles that will break your heart and pouts that will break our wallets! She is formula feeding and breastfeeding and we now use cloth diapers...love them by the way. Jimmy and I are doing good and we are getting plenty of sleep because Elizabeth sleeps from 930-6 every night..for the past 4 nights she has even slept in her crib in her own room...

Things happen so fast that I wont try to remember everything that we have done...A sample would be Lactation Connection every tuesday, car races most Thursdays, visiting with Mammie + Bampa, Mimi + Papa, and Papa + Grammy Carrey, Megan and Shawn and lots of other friends and family!! A few weddings, a couple of friends new babies, lots of books to read and walks in our backyard!

She grows so fast that I will do my best to post a blog and a picture at least once a week!!

6 weeks old

Well Lizzy is now almost 6 weeks old already...I honestly cannot believe it's been that long already!! She is getting sooo big, at last weigh in she was 8 lbs 13 oz...She now smiles when she is excited or Happy and can mostly hold her head up by herself...

I am still nursing with the support of The Mercy Hospital staff and my family...I don't have quite enough milk for my little piggy so she gets formula as well..sometimes I feel guilty that I can't feed her myself and that I am letting her down, but I usually snap out of it quickly and remember that as long as she is healthy then there is nothing to feel bad about!!

I recently researched and switched Lizzy to a different diaper...we are now using mostly seventh generation diapers...they are better for her and for the enviroment (without using cloth) and are the same price as the other national brands...as I say WHY NOT?

Lizzy has been all over the place and proved to be the best baby ever...although I am VERY biased...lol...we have gone to Oxford Speedway, Beech ridge motor speedway, funtown, minigolfing, a carnival, Fireworks display, to the beach several times, and who knows where else...and she was amazing everywhere we went...either slept through it or watched everyone...:)

We put her in her own room for a couple of nights and she did great...I however didn't do very well...I checked on her a million times and the baby moniter picked up everything so that kept me awake as well...so for now she is back in our room until who knows when...at least I know that she can sleep without people in her room...

WEll I could go on forever but time to feed Lizzy....so long :)

ELIZABETH ARRIVES ON APRIL 29TH

So on wensday April 28th my water finally broke!!

I am writing to update my blog...my mum keeps bugging me to update it...lol...so here I am while Jimmy changes Lizzy's diaper trying to quickly write before she needs to nurse again!!

Ok...so april 28th 8:10 am my water breaks while I am in bed...I literally woke up in a puddle...I quickly sent a message to Bri who was in scotland to keep her updated...then called Jimmy, my mom and then of course after getting changed, remembered to call the midwife! My mom leaves work and comes to pick me up...Jimmy was waiting at the hospital when we got there...we got checked in and unpacked and then we waited..and waited and waited...

My dad came in...as did Megan, Shawn and Bells...Mom was there of course and Bill stopped in towards the end of the day...Jimmy's mom came in that night as well...While we had all these visitors, we just waited...nothing happened...contractions were 25 minutes apart and not too painful...

At 4 pm my midwife came in and explained the options of trying to get labor going, I opted to wait it out at that point...however by 8 pm we were still waiting and we thought it best to get some pitocin. She gave me just a tiny dose and that was enough...

My contractions went from 25 minutes apart to 2 minutes apart and pain went from 1 to a million...this happened in just 20 minutes....4 HOURS LATER (after my opinion of hell) Lizzy was born!!!

She came out weighing in at 7 lbs 9oz 20 inches long...head full of black hair and pretty much perfect!!

well she needs to eat now so i'll update her first two weeks later :)

39 weeks and several days

so just a quick update....the test results came back and it is simply high blood pressure for now...my kidneys and liver are doing a wonderful job doing whatever they are suppose to do and the HBP isn't effecting the baby...I have been ordered to stay off my feet for the remainder of the pregnancy and keep the stress level down to prevent the HBP from becoming anything else.

Well thats it i guess...just waiting around..even more bored then i was before...for Lizzy to make an appearence!

39 weeks and some days

LONGEST WEEK OF MY LIFE!!!

I am disappointed that after a careful diet and rest regiment my whole pregnancy...my blood pressure has spiked back into the danger zone in the last week....:(
Not too happy about that...they did all kinds of testing this morning and if they get certain results back, they will induce labor to get Lizzy out. I am hoping that maybe she will decide on her own to come out before they even get test results back tomorrow. Other then that, Lizzy's head is still way down...her heart beat sounds great...and she seems to be growing at a good rate....

Only time will tell what happens, At this point I just care about Lizzy being born and being born healthy!!
